We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Education SME to ensure the tmrw product is designed and built with precision, educational integrity, and system level thinking. This role sits at the intersection of product, design, and engineering, acting as the pedagogical and operational expert who ensures that what is being built aligns perfectly with educational requirements, global school workflows, and user needs across many countries.
You will work closely with product designers, business analysts, and technical teams to validate designs, ensure alignment to user stories in DevOps, and support end-to-end delivery of a high scale, AI enabled education platform.
Key responsibilities
1. Product design and build alignment
Ensure all product features are built according to approved designs, functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Participate in detailed design reviews, including Figma walkthroughs, workflows, and user stories.
Validate feature behaviour and logic against educational expectations, ensuring alignment between requirements, user experience, and engineering implementation.
2. Deep SME input across global education contexts
Bring deep knowledge of K–12 schooling across different countries, for student engagement, teaching and learning and school management.
Ensure product features work for a range of large-scale customers with diverse global needs (e.g., attendance, wellbeing, curriculum, reporting, activities, safeguarding).
Act as SME during requirement workshops and decision-making, helping synthesise varied school needs into system ready, scalable requirements.
3. Cross functional collaboration
Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure clear understanding of product feature vision and functionality.
Partner with business analysts to ensure user story clarity before development.
Collaborate daily/weekly with engineering teams to resolve questions, validate assumptions, and ensure accurate implementation.
Collaborate with the UX/UI team to ensure educational appropriateness and consistency across the product.
4. AI enabled product thinking
Provide expertise on how AI can enhance teaching, learning, and school operations.
Evaluate AI driven features for pedagogical soundness, transparency, safety, and global relevance, aligned to Microsoft’s Principles for Responsible AI.
Support the Product Owner in shaping the AI roadmap.
5. Quality assurance and continuous improvement
Contribute to the testing of features before release, validating real-world school scenarios.
Identify gaps early and recommend changes to prevent ambiguity or rework.
Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement, scalability, and system-wide impact.
Required skills and experience
7+ years in K–12 education in multiple levels including teaching, school management, school leadership, EdTech, or system level transformation roles.
Demonstrated ability to work in highly detailed product or workflow design contexts.
Experience collaborating with designers, business analysts, and engineers on complex platform builds.
Strong AI literacy (e.g., prompt design, understanding of LLM capabilities/risks, pedagogical applications).
Excellent communication skills; ability to translate complexity into clarity.

The coordinator ensures that new tools, workflows, and AI-enabled practices are introduced smoothly, ethically, and sustainably, always with a focus on improving teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
You will work closely with technical leaders in tmrw and school system leaders to develop awareness events, onboarding materials, and training programs for each stakeholder group to ensure smooth adoption of a new high scale, AI enabled education platform.
Key responsibilities
Change management leadership
Develop and execute change management plans for the rollout of new EdTech and AI tools, including stakeholder analysis, communication strategies, readiness assessments, and adoption monitoring.
Partner with product, IT, curriculum, and school leadership teams to anticipate barriers, identify champions, and build momentum for change.
Facilitate feedback loops with educators and administrators to refine implementation plans and ensure user needs are addressed.
Create clear, accessible communication materials (e.g., FAQs, guides, newsletters) that explain the purpose, benefits, and expectations of new technologies.
Track adoption metrics and user sentiment to inform continuous improvement.
Training and capacity building
Design and deliver engaging training programs for teachers, support staff, and leaders on EdTech platforms, AI-powered tools, and digital best practices.
Develop multimodal learning resources, videos, job aids, walkthroughs, microlearning modules, and hands-on workshops.
